Dani and Megan were really clear about the type of ceremony they wanted and I loved getting to know them both on our journey together to plan their wedding. We included a Yin Yang Sand Ceremony and a Ceremony Signing plus rainbows everywhere!
“Donna is such a gracious, caring celebrant and she went the extra mile to make our big day even more special! We really appreciated her taking the time to get to know us and our love story before preparing a bespoke ceremony. My fiancé and I couldn’t have asked for a better celebrant – from wearing a dress that matched our theme to gifting us a beautifully-bind script of the ceremony, Donna has been incredibly kind and caring throughout the whole process!”

Lamport Hall, Northamptonshire
Tom and Xiaoan booked with me only 8 weeks before there wedding ceremony but we worked together to create a service that told their unique story. The venue at Lamport Hall was stunning and the live pianist really set the scene in this historical house. The couple chose a unity candle ceremony to add a personal touch to the ceremony and then we moved to the library to sign the certificate in private.
“We are so thankful for Donna for conducting such a beautiful ceremony at our wedding. We met Donna via zoom a couple of weeks before the wedding and shared with her our story, this allowed the service to be really personal. the first few minutes of the service were taken by Donna telling our story, this set the scene perfectly for the day. We also met the day before to go through each stage of the ceremony, which certainly helped to calm nerves and ensure that we were well prepared. Donna has a very calming presence and did a great job of relaxing us just before and during the presence. I would highly recommend Donna’s service. Everyone loved the service. They all said it was really special and personal.”
I was very touched to receive a traditional Chinese gift of sweets in a gorgeous red bag…double happiness!

Simply Elegant!
Katherine and James had the most beautiful ceremony, facing the glass entrance to Sissons Barn in October 2021. They wanted a simple ceremony that told their love story and wrote their own vows that each heard for the first time on the day. The venue hadn’t staged a ceremony in that direction before, and I am sure the photographer was worried about the light, but it made for stunning photos.
“We are so happy that we chose Donna to be our celebrant. From the very first meeting with her we felt at ease and knew that she would be perfect. She helped guide us through creating our own vows (something we never thought we could do!) and on the day did such an incredible job. She really succeeded in bringing out our thoughts and feelings about each other to make it a meaningful and unique ceremony. We had so many compliments from our guests.
Thank you so much. Katherine and James.”

Wild Love!
Ria and Dominic got married in November at Sissons Bard in Peterborough. They had a fabulous rustic theme with natural colours and these awesome large words!
“Donna was amazing from the minute we first spoke to her. She made us feel at ease and got us speaking about each other so freely. When it came to our vows, we were unsure about writing our own secret vows, but Donna helped us think about it & now I’m so glad we did! Was such a special part of the ceremony! From start to finish Donna was so helpful and professional! On the day of the ceremony everybody in attendance commented on how beautiful Donna had delivered the ceremony. It also got complements on how personal it was to us, and how our story was so well told. We couldn’t have asked for anyone better to deliver our ceremony! It was so beautiful! Thank you Donna!”
Ria and Dominic signed their Ceremony Certificate in the Forge.

A Unity Candle Ceremony
Alexander and Jason chose to add a Unity Candle Ritual to their personalised Wedding Ceremony.
“We found Donna to be very accommodating, very personable and professional. After one meeting she was able to draft a very personal script which fulfilled our exact needs and reflected our relationship and personalities perfectly. She was also very knowledgeable about alternative elements that we could include in our ceremony, giving examples of how each would work and what they represented. Our guests commented on how well the script reflected us. Prior to the ceremony Donna also organised a rehearsal to make sure everything ran smoothly and was exactly how we wanted. We would thoroughly recommend Iris Rose celebrant services to everyone who requires a celebrant. Thank you for completing our special day.”
The special Unity Candle was lit by the couple’s orange and green tapered candles. This candle can be re-lit on special occasions like anniversaries!

A Family Sand Ceremony Outdoors.
Karen & Michael had a family wedding ceremony outdoors at the family homestead. Their ceremony included a Sand Ceremony and readings from family members.
“We found Donna the celebrant had picked up many aspects of our lives and incorporated them seamlessly into the ceremony. Many of our family and friends commented how much they liked the ceremony as it reflected our life and us as a couple.”
The sand ceremony vessel was a family heirloom and displayed the four coloured sands perfectly!

A Handfasting Ceremony!
“We liked how it was written and how it was individual to us and our relationship.”
Mandy and Steven wanted a small, family ceremony that reflected their relationship. They chose a lovely venue and worked really hard themselves to plan and organise every element if their day.
“We were very happy with our ceremony. We had a couple of meetings before the day, and Donna was always available if we had any questions. The ceremony was written beautifully and was everything we hoped it would be. We would highly recommend Iris Rose ceremonies.”

Haycock Manor Hotel
“Donna was amazing!! She took the time to get to know us personally and knew what to write, she was very professional and we knew we could rely on her to make sure everything was perfect. She added little touches like a book presented to us with our ceremony in it. Donna was so friendly and willing to go above and beyond to make the day perfect. We can’t thank her enough for everything she did!”
Simon and Fiona got married at the Haycock Manor Hotel and had had to wait a year to carry out their ceremony.

A Special Sand Ceremony!
Shona shared her thoughts on the service with me. When asked about their favourite part she said, “It was very relaxed, we were able to do whatever it liked and had the ceremony with our unique twist on a traditional wedding!”
Shona and Ciaran had lots of brilliant ideas for their bespoke ceremony. They chose the Lovely Leaf package and added a reading and a sand ceremony to the service. The sand ceremony included their parents which added a real family feel to the wedding day. There were some tears but plenty of giggles during the ceremony and a surprise for the groom when his best man ‘forgot’ the rings. Don’t worry as Sammy the dog saved the day! I thoroughly enjoyed planning this ceremony which had to be postponed for a year but ended up being such a wonderful day!
“Donna was brilliant from the start. We originally spoke over a year ago and with the pandemic she was able to alter and rearrange happily. She catered to every need we both had, whilst still putting her own personality into the ceremony. It made for a fantastic day as everyone was relaxed and thought of throughout.” Shona
Ciaran made contact with me too and gave a review from his point of view!
“Hey Donna, just wanted to add to Shona’s review for the parts she wasn’t there for! You helped me feel comfortable and kept me calm during what was a stressful and nerve-wracking moment for me personally. You really helped make the ceremony so special and I can’t thank you enough for what you did. Everyone I spoke with after the ceremony commented on how lovely it was. As you know, I was dreading the ceremony and really just wanted to get to the meal and drinks. But looking back, the ceremony was my favourite part of the night, certainly the part I’ll remember the most! Thank you again for being such an important part of our special day 👰🏼♀️🤵🏻♂️🐕🦺”

Beautiful Baby Naming Ceremony
Melissa and Ashley wanted to create a personal naming ceremony for their son Tyler. They asked friends to become ‘Godparents’ and included Grandparents’ promises too. It was a lovely day after a difficult year. Unfortunately some key guests couldn’t be there but through the power of zoom these people were able to watch the ceremony. The following words are from Melissa, mummy to baby Tyler who was a star throughout the day!
“Donna was everything we were looking for in a celebrant – she made us feel at ease, she listened to how we wanted the ceremony conducted and she came up with great suggestions to make the day go smoothly. The ceremony was perfect – and exactly what we wanted to celebrate our son’s naming.”
