Wally’s Woodland Dedication

This baby naming ceremony was very special! Three years ago I conducted Walter’s parents’ wedding ceremony in this place Bridge Meadows. Alex and Jordan booked me again for their first child’s naming ceremony. They sent me these kind words: “Donna was amazing yet again! We had Donna as our wedding celebrant and when we found a few years later that I was pregnant one of our first thoughts was that if everything goes smoothly we will have to get Donna back for a naming ceremony and we did! The ceremony really made the day and was everything we had hoped for and more. Thank you!”

It was a super hot Sunday and the grass had been faded by this summer’s heatwave! The blue skies looked great in the photos though!

What was your favourite moment? “Every moment was so special and personalised. The lion King moment was especially cute and memorable!”

What did the ceremony guests say? “That they loved it. How special it was, especially as Donna was our wedding celebrant.”

Walter’s parents own the land where the ceremony took place and have planted a woodland with young trees to grow up with this young man. We unveiled a plaque that is now mounted on the gate to Wally’s Wood. There were many special touches including Aunty Ashleigh conducting a reading, Walter’s Godparents were named and promises were made. Daddy Jordan lifted Walter aloft in his very own ‘Simba’ moment!
