A Winter Wedding

Lauren and James’ February Wedding Ceremony at Sissons Barn was just lovely! They opted for a Handfasting to ‘tie the knot’ during their ceremony.

“I have had so many compliments from our ceremony, one of kind was mentioned multiple times it was absolutely beautiful! Donna also made us feel so special and we were the only ones who mattered!”

Congratulations to the Happy Couple!

Chippenham Park Estates

Laura and Mark got married outdoors at the stunning Chippenham Park Estates in Cambridgeshire. Their guests loved the ceremony and liked the personal touches incorporated including this lovely couple’s love story! There were beautiful Irises all around the grounds and the walk to the ceremony space was gorgeous.

“Donna was absolutely amazing, from start to finish her attention to detail, professionalism and genuine lovely personality stood out the most. My husband and I cannot thank her enough for all the work involved to create our beautiful ceremony and would 100% recommend her to anyone.”

Ceremony Symbolic Elements

A ceremony can be enhanced by adding a personal touch. Families and couples can choose from a range of symbolic elements and then make them their own. You can pick the colours to match your theme, involve members of the family in the rituals and have special words to accompany the moment.

The Last Wedding of the Year!

Well what a strange twelve months it has been! It started with a small Christmas wedding with only 12 guests during a window of opportunity where couples could get married with only a handful of guests, me and a photographer. After Christmas, a strange New Year and then another national lockdown, the country only opened up again in March. The wedding industry, like many others, had taken a huge blow. Would we be able to hold weddings in the summer of 2021? Many of my couples had postponed their weddings from 2020 so were desperate to know when, where and how they could get married. There were many fears over keeping guests safe, whether guests would be able to travel and do we want face masks on in wedding photos! By July 17th, I had started weddings again. Luckily this one was outdoors and during a heat wave so it felt lovely to be outside and the restrictions were workable. During August a flurry of ceremonies occurred with 5 weddings and a naming day within 6 weeks. These weddings were much less restricted and felt like we were getting back to normal. I loved every single one! A favourite ceremony included a sand ceremony and another a hand fasting. I was also a guest at two weddings during this time as my cousin and friends got married too! Over the summer, I embarked on a new journey of Funeral Celebrancy – watch this space! This autumn, I have conducted a few more ceremonies and today’s was the last one of the season. I have enjoyed meeting every couple and family, loved learning about their stories and writing a personal ceremony script for each one. The thank yous and testimonials I have received make me realise how important Celebrancy is for any family marking a milestone moment in life. I feel honoured to be a Celebrant and will keep spreading the word far and wide!
